Our doctors could not do their job well without the help of our nursing care team. We strive to hire well qualified and pediatric trained licensed practical nurses (LPNs) and medical assistants (MAs).
The nursing care team would like to remind you that every child should be seen periodically for a complete health evaluation. This should include a physical examination, appropriate immunizations and measurement of growth, occasional laboratory tests, and a discussion of current problems. This type of exam is not easily accomplished at the time of a sick child visit, and we much prefer reserving special visits for them.
For most children, the visits are as follows:
| 1 to 2 weeks of age | No immunizations |
| 2 months | DTaP, Hep B-HiB, IPV, PCV, Rotavirus |
| 4 months | DTaP, HiB, IPV, PCV, Rotavirus |
| 6 months | DTaP, Hep B-HiB, Rotavirus |
| 9 months | No immunizations |
| 12 months | IPV, MMR, PCV, Varicella |
| 15 months | DTaP-HiB, Hep A |
| 18 months | No immunizations |
| 24 months (once/yr well visits) | Hep A |
| 3 yrs-4 yrs | No immunizations |
| 5 yrs | DTaP, IPV, MMR, Varicella |
| 6 yrs-10 yrs | No immunizations |
| 11 yrs-12 yrs | Tdap (every 10 yrs), Meningococcal (optional), HPV (optional, girls only, series of three) |
For more information on vaccines, please refer to www.cdc.gov. Please allow up to one week for refill requests and for the completion of forms for daycare, school, sports or WIC clinic.
We thank you for the opportunity to care for your children and look forward
to seeing you in our office.
