will need to bring with you any and all:
How long will my appointment take?
Appointment times vary. For new patients, we recommend arriving 15 minutes
early to fill out paperwork and to process insurance information. For new
patients, appointments may last a minimum of 30-45 minutes, depending on
medical necessity. For follow-up patients, appointments usually last 20-30
minutes. Please bring your insurance card to all appointments.
What should I expect to happen at my
first appointment?
The first appointment will vary, depending upon whether the appointment
is a wellness check or for illness. With both wellness and illness checks,
we will evaluate the child’s growth, immunizations, and treat any
current medical condition.
Which doctor should I see?
When you call for either an Advance or Open
Access appointment, the Patient Care Representative will ask which doctor
you would like to see. Every patient at Priority Care Pediatrics, LLC is
regarded as a patient of all of the pediatricians of the practice. Our pediatricians
strive to handle our patient’s health concerns with comparable consistency
of care. You should feel comfortable with any of the doctors whenever your
child has a health concern. While we recognize that many parents will have
a preference for one pediatrician, we will honor the patient’s request
to see a specific pediatrician as long as there is an available appointment
for the requested doctor. If the doctor you prefer is unavailable, the Patient
Care Representative will inform you and will offer another doctor that is
available.
I am a former patient but have not
seen the doctor in over a year. Will there be paperwork or anything else
required?
Yes. Plan to arrive 15 minutes early if you are a former patient and have
not been seen within the past year, as you will need to update your information.
Any and all insurance changes need to be reported as well as any changes
of address, telephone numbers, or employment.

and scans or reports with you at the time of your appointment.

paperwork needs.
How long will it take for a prescription
refill?
Priority Care Pediatrics, L.L.C.’s Care Team allows up to one week
for refills, depending on the type of medication and its use. We ask that

call for a refill appropriately when it is time. This timeframe allows us
the time and ability to concentrate on our patient scheduling for both Advanced
appointments and Open Access appointments, in addition to your child’s
refill.
What is your No-Show guideline?
We ask that patients/families please call well in advance of their appointment time to cancel or reschedule. This provides us the opportunity to care for our patients in a more timely and fair manner. Although we understand that problems and conflicts can arise unexpectedly, the scheduled appointment time remains the responsibility of the patient/family.
If you cannot make your scheduled appointment, please call as appointments have to be cancelled 2 hours prior to appointment time or this will be considered a no show.
It is the guideline of Priority Care Pediatrics, LLC that following the first
No Show occurrence, the patient/family will receive notification of their
missed appointment by letter. After the second No Show, another letter will
be sent and the patient/family will no longer be able to schedule advanced
appointments. Priority Care Pediatrics, LLC will continue to provide care
on a same day/call-in basis for a 12 month period. Following the third No
Show appointment, the patient/family will receive a letter of Termination
asking them to find another physician. Priority Care Pediatrics, LLC will
provide care on an urgent or emergent basis for the next 30 days. After the
30 day period, no further appointments will be made.
