Are You Expecting?

Congratulations!

Starting a family or welcoming another child into your family is a wonderful experience and truly a gift. Along with the beauty and joy of pregnancy, delivery, and then coming home, there are bound to be times when you have questions about how to care for your baby and family.

Replace Me

We are here for you and your family.

We are excited and honored that you are considering us for your child’s care. It is always special for us to be invited by new parents to join in the care of a family member. The continuity of care and the amazement of watching a baby grow and develop into a wonderful child is one of the primary reasons that we all feel privileged to work in pediatrics.

Pre-Natal Tours

We invite expectant families to learn more about our practice by attending a prenatal tour, held on the second Thursday of each month at 5:30 PM at our North Oak office. Tours are led by a member of our nutrition and lactation team, together with one of our physicians, and include time for questions and discussion.

To sign up, please call 816-412-2929 or email infantnutrition@pcpeds.com.

Delivery

If you have chosen us as your pediatrician, thank you! When you check-in for delivery just tell them you have chosen Priority Care Pediatrics. If you are delivering at one of our rounding hospitals (St. Luke's North, Liberty or North Kansas City) then one of our pediatricians will see your baby in the hospital. If you are delivering elsewhere then they can help make sure the needed records are sent to us.

What To Bring to your first appointment at Priority Care Pediatrics
  • Any paperwork from the hospital, including hearing screen results and immunization records.
  • Any available insurance information (often only the parent’s insurance is available at the first visit).
  • Plenty of diapers and an extra set of clothes.
  • You will receive a link to complete all pre-registration information prior to your appointment. It is easier to complete prior to your visit.

Before Your First Appointment

Typically, our office will reach out to you after discharge to schedule your first appointment, which is usually 2-5 days after going home.

You can also call us directly to schedule at 816-412-2900.

You will have the chance to see our lactation team at your first visit.
